Travel insurance FAQs

What does travel insurance cover?

It depends on the policy you choose. Cover may include medical expenses, cancellation, baggage, assistance and medical repatriation, subject to policy limits and terms.

Does the insurance cover trip cancellation?

Only if your policy includes cancellation cover and your reason is covered under its terms.

When should I buy travel insurance?

It’s best to buy your policy when you book your trip. If you choose cancellation cover, the policy should be issued on the day you book, subject to the insurer’s terms.

Can I buy travel insurance on its own from Etnopoint?

No. Insurance is an optional add-on offered when you buy a travel product, such as a flight, holiday package, cruise or other travel service.

Is travel insurance mandatory?

Not always. Some destinations or visa types require minimum medical cover. In other cases it’s optional, but it can protect you if something unexpected happens.

What if I need help while travelling?

Call the assistance number on your policy straight away and follow the insurer’s instructions. Etnopoint is also here to help and guide you while you travel.

Travel protected, with peace of mind.
